Local Opportunities in Ehtiopia

Based on the FDRE Overseas employment proclamation No. 1246-2021 (amended); citizens of Ethiopia are granted with the right for overseas domestic work opportunities based on the set requirements for recruitment and deployment; such requirements include age, level of education, competence and documentation issues of the client.

Currently, there are some registered and recognized overseas employment agencies in Ethiopia. There are also associations/federation of agencies through which Ethiopian citizens can have access to the services. For instance, the EOEAF (Ethiopian Overseas Employment Agencies Federation) consisting of more than 500 overseas employment agencies. HIBRET Ethiopia Overseas Recruitment Agents Association is also another association consisting of more than 200 overseas recruitment agencies.
